Montblanc Meisterstück 149 - produced von 1952-1960.
The export models have the designation Masterpiece instead of Masterpiece.

The masterpieces from the 1950s and today's series are visually almost identical. The following features die Meisterstücke
from the 1950s to the current ones:
- on the twist knob (see image on the left) is the model designation,
- turn the push button out (see image on the left) the brass mechanism isu sehen,
- possibly the nib size is also on the twist knob e.g. OB ,
- the masterpieces from the 1950s have a flexible nib made of 14 karat gold,
- with the masterpiece 149 from the 1950s two of the three rings on the cap are made of silver and
- the writing instruments are heavier in weight.
The sight glass is normally yellow on the masterpieces from the 1950s. If it is red ( see image )
, it is a sign that this fountain pen
was often used.
