In contrast to the earlier fountain pens from the "Patron
of the Arts" Edition, the Copernicus appears relatively
simple and inconspicuous at first glance. It is only when you examine the writing instrument
more closely that you notice the many small details.
The design of the fountain pen is simply perfect!
Particularly impressive is the modern shape of the clip with the faceted,
greenish meteorite stone. The Montblanc star is made of mother-of-pearl,
the rings around the barrel and cap are made of 925 Sterling silver (4810
Edition). This fountain pen is limited to 4810 pieces; if you
want something even more exclusive, you can opt for the fountain pen
Edition. In this case, the rings are made of white gold
with a diamond each.
Copernicus was the first to propose the thesis that the sun is at the center
and the planets revolve around it. These are represented by the nine rings
symbolized.
Like all fountain pens,
the Copernicus has an 18kt gold nib. On it you can see the
sun, to the right above the sun is a
depiction of the moon.
The size of the fountain pen and nib are approximately
that of a 146. The weight of the barrel is also very pleasant (it corresponds
to about a Solitaire 146). The Copernicus would thus also be
ideally suited for
everyday writing.
The Copernicus is thus a true classic. Despite the current economic slowdown,
the writing instruments of this edition were sold out within the shortest
time. Fortunately, through several connections,
we were able to get another copy.
