The 149 is the largest Meisterstück with piston-filling system. It has been produced since 1952.

In the current version, the nib edge is made of gold-bonded gold followed by a stripe of white gold and in the middle again yellow gold (see photo unten). In the photo rechts you see a etwas ältere variant of the nib from the 1980s.

It has a 18 kt gold nib with platinum-inlays in the Nib Widths EF. F. M. OM, B, OB, BB and OBB

The 149 is the biggest masterpiece and has a 18 kt gold nib with the following sizes: EF. F. M. OM, B, OB, BB and OBB
